DIAGNOdent: Along with a thorough clinical/radiographic evaluation and the consideration of each patient’s individual risk factors, the DIAGNOdent is a tool that enhances early identification and diagnosis of cavities. The DIAGNOdent is a safe, quick, accurate, and painless method that utilizes a diode laser (655 nm) to detect hidden, non-cavitated, and occlusal pit-and-fissure tooth decay. It measures laser fluorescence within a tooth’s mineral structure and is able to detect the degree of lost tooth structure. This earlier detection of cavity lesions allows for more conservative, minimally-invasive dentistry.
Soft Tissue Diode Laser: Our office is equipped with soft tissue diode lasers, which allows us to perform any necessary soft-tissue surgeries (e.g. gingivoplasty, gingivectomy, frenectomy) with precision & ease and with minimal to no bleeding/swelling, improved post-operative healing, and faster recovery times. In addition, all of our hygienists are trained to utilize the diode laser in conjunction to root debridement therapy for improved bacterial reduction/decontamination.
